It has not been an easy road, but it's been one where our faith and the great faithfulness of God have been evident every step of the way. From relocating to three different facilities, planting a church, adopting a church, and now buying a huge vacant downtown church; we have seen many answers to prayer and miracles. Our testimony is not unlike that of the Israelites as they sought to follow God and walk in His promises.
Several months of prayer, wrestle, challenge, lots of hard work, prayer filled sleepless nights and tons of faith are about to come to a partial close tonight. Tonight at 5pm our newly appointed Trustees and myself (Pastor Ryan) will meet with three godly lawyers and leaders from Carlisle United Methodist to sign the closing documents. Tonight at 6pm NLC will be the expectant new stewards of 64 E. North St. and 54 E. North St. I sit here at my dining room table emotional and in some ways blank as I type these words.
After several months... make that several years of prayer and dreaming; NLC will be moving into a new facility in just over one month. January 17th will be our FIRST service in the former First United Methodist Church building at 64 E. North St. This building will be New Life Community Church's new home. We along with several community partners will engage our community together, sharing space, ideas, talents, skills and all from under the same roof.
