January 7-14, 2007 – There will be several opportunities to come together in prayer.  We hope you will take some time to attend one or more.  The celebration time of prayer will be on January 13, 2007 at Carlisle BIC, so mark your calendar.  We will provide more information to you in the next week.

The church in Nicaragua - which has reached nearly 7,000 members - has planted a BIC church in the San Jose area of Costa Rica.  Praise the Lord that the BIC church has spread to yet another country!  Pray for strong leadership and good spiritual growth.

Pray for specific opportunities to share the good news of Christ’s death and resurrection with un-churched friends, neighbors, and coworkers.

• Pray that NLC will continue to be a church that reaches people from all walks of life who will find help, healing, and hope as they connect to Jesus and His Family at NLC.
• Pray for your small group.  Pray that God would richly bless its leaders and that there would be a greater commitment to biblical community at NLC.
• Pray for continued spiritual growth and a deeper passion to know and love God more.
• Pray that each of our ministries at NLC will continue to fulfill their purpose.  Pray that those not currently serving in a ministry would sense the leading of the Holy Spirit to find a ministry where they can use their passion, gifts, talents, and abilities to serve others.
• Pray that God would stir our hearts with a passion to see NLC grow and at some point plant other churches.

Pray for a special anointing of the Holy Spirit on the team as they seek opportunities to share the Christmas love story with their friends.  Pray for Spirit-led conversations.  Pray that people will have open and understanding hearts in this region that has very few believers or churches.

LONDON: The days in London are getting shorter and colder, making it more challenging to do on-the-streets evangelism.  Pray that the 6 members of the BIC London team will have perseverance to seek new opportunities to share the gospel with Muslims.  (1 out of every 5 people in the world is Muslim)

SPAIN - The BIC church in Spain is planning a vision retreat. Pray that as these 34 faithful believers gather, God will guide them, and that they will agree whole-heartedly with each other, lover one another, and work together with one heard and purpose (Phil. 2:2 NLT).

The national board of the 33 BIC churches in Cuba wants to target important cities in each province as sites for church planting. Ask God to provide them with committed pastors and sufficient resources to carry out this vision.

Nicaragua - Pray for the plans being made and for the leaders who will conduct the mission to plant a new church in the city of Boaco, November 20 - 26. Ask God to prepare the hearts of the people who will hear the gospel message.

Columbia/Venezuela - Pray that God will open doors for the training and development of future pastoral leadership needed in the six BIC congregations in these two countries. Pray that those who sense a call to ministry will obey no matter what the cost.

• Pray for a commitment to attend church every week throughout our 40 day Spiritual Growth event.
• Pray for 100% participation in small groups. Pray that God would richly bless the leaders and bring encouragement to those attending.
• Pray for a commitment to doing the daily devotionals. Pray for God to give clarity and insight. Pray that each one of us be transformed by the renewing or our mind through God’s word.
• Pray for a commitment to learn the weekly key verse, and that God will encourage and grow us through His word.
• Pray for courage and boldness in reaching out to our friends, family and neighbors and invite them to join us in this event.

SPAIN - Pray that the 34 members of the BIC church would live lives that reflect the transforming power of God’s Spirit through thier words, actions and attitudes. May they lead a life worthy of their calling, for they have been called by God (Ephesians 4:1).
